VEGLIA
Every other object in this portfolio borrows light. This one makes it, and the paper shade has to carry it without turning into a lightbulb.
A lamp inverts the job. For a bottle or a jar you build a room and let the object collect it. Here the object is the source, and everything around it (the table, the wall, the air) becomes something the product is lighting.
Which makes the shade the whole piece. Paper is translucent, not transparent: it has to glow evenly, show its own grain against the light, and still read as solid where the light does not reach it. Too thin and it becomes a lampshade-shaped hole. Too thick and the lamp looks switched off.
The base is the counterweight, glazed and heavy and quiet. It is there so the eye has somewhere to rest that is not the brightest thing in the frame.

Every scene is generated from code. A variant is a line, not another job.
